Meek Mill is Ghanaian not only by choice but also by ancestry, as his DNA results show that he is 18 percent Ghanaian.

Meek Mill's ancestors were originally from Benin, Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Nigeria, according to ancestry.com.

According to the ancestry.com DNA results, 21% of the American rap star's ethnicity comes from Benin and Togo; 18% are from Ghana and Ivory Coast; Nigeria accounted for 18%; 14% came from Cameroon, the Congo, and the West Bantu; 8% are from Mali; as well as 5% from Senegal.
